We never know when a disaster may strike our family or friends. The ESA Disaster Fund is a way for sisters to help sisters in time of need. Imagine these scenarios:

A violent earthquake strikes California. In addition to all the other destruction, every window in your home has been broken. Help create a virtual “window insurance” fund by donating at your Fall Council meeting $.25 for each window in your house. Use the Disaster Fund can for your donation. Have really lots of windows? $2.50 is the maximum premium but extra is always a help.

A record amount of winter snow and rain causes massive flooding throughout the state. You will need to replace every carpet, tile and wood floor in your house. Donate to the virtual “floor insurance” fund at your Spring Council meeting by contributing $.25 for each room in your house. Big house? Again the $2.50 premium is in effect.

Or use the KISS method (Keep It Simple Sister). Just throw any lose change into the can whenever you meet.
